I’m no proponent of mashups, but this Nas over Adolescents’ Kids of the Black Hole is the exception. The guy that brought you the Jaydiohead mashup, Max Tannone, released this (FREE) punk vs. rap album, Mic Check 1234.

Our boys from up north are back at it. We’re loving what we’re hearing (as usual). Download their new album Punch Perm for free. If you don’t already have it, grab Sasquatch Bury their Dead too. Both highly recommended.
The Hood Internet and Com Truise need no introduction to readers of this blog. While we’re not the biggest Lil Wayne fans in the world, this just goes to show anything Com Truise or The Hood Internet have their names on is well worth your time. This is going to be one of the bigger mashups of this summer. Mark our words.
It’s always a treat to hear some new Das Racist stuff. Here’s a FREE compilation of dope ass unreleased tracks as well as some rad remixes. Throw this on at your next party and get wild with the most unique dudes in Hip Hop right now. File this under SWAG.
Our Canadian friends, Dream Jefferson, were kind enough to send us their new single, “Westminster Abbey,” available FRIDAY. Very excited to rep this on my drive home tonight drunk as hell (kidding). Get stoked on an upcoming release of “Punch Perm EP,” dropping soon. Check more information at Rifle Eyes. Also, props to our friend Dan Gorman on some proper album art.
The white boy Canadian rap scene is pretty legit (I know you remember Classified); Dream Jefferson are 2 Torontonians(?) blending the dance scene with the rap scene (see: Ninjasonik), and it’s always good to give the up & coming their exposure. Check out their free EP, “Sasquatch Bury Their Dead,” here.
The mashup duo known as The White Panda just dropped a 40 track mixtape today, cleverly titled “Pandamonium.” It’s available on their bandcamp allowing downloaders to name their price. Don’t be a cheap ass! All the tracks fall between one and two minutes. That’s the way mashups should be done, people! Download this and buy a t-shirt while you’re at it.
Chicago seems to be the new hub for hot hip hop these days. This song is definitely my favorite driving song at the moment. Here’s a link to the mixtape this track is on. Pick up some of their older stuff from iTunes here. Look out for a new album from these dudes entitled When Fish Ride Bicycles out later this year.
